The Sexual assuredness that informed that men are in charge, the dominant sex of the species – has in many places begun to slip. The body of work strives to de-construct representations & ideals of the traditional male – like strength, virility, bravery and re-construct a new male identity exploring new found freedom breaching traditional depictions of the stereotypical male nude.It is also a body of work which gives visual priority to alternative lifestyles and a documentation of a marginalized society in Sri Lanka to the forefront of public consciousness.
